BEAUTY, REDEFINED
For years, I thought beauty was something to achieve.
Growing up, I compared myself to the women around me. Later, I entered the world of pageantry, where beauty was quite literally being evaluated.
But even a crown couldn't answer the deeper question:
What makes a woman truly beautiful?
Through my own journey, I began to understand that beauty isn't found in meeting a standard, receiving validation, changing our bodies, or collecting accomplishments.
True beauty begins when we understand who we are, whose we are, and the value we've carried all along.
In my chapter, Redefining Beauty, I share my personal journey and three truths that have transformed the way I see beauty:

My hope is that my story doesn't simply change the way you see beauty.
I hope it changes the way you see yourself.

A former beauty queen, Julia once found herself navigating many of the same standards and expectations she now encourages women to look beyond. Her journey taught her that true beauty isn't found in appearance, titles, accomplishments, or the validation of others, but in knowing who you are and whose you are.
Today, she encourages women to care for themselves well, walk confidently in who God created them to be, and live with greater purpose.

There was simply a little girl learning how to see herself.
But somewhere along the way, comparison crept in.
I began noticing what made me different. I compared myself to the women around me and slowly began to believe that beauty looked a certain way—and that maybe I didn't quite fit the mold.
Maybe you have your own version of that story.
A comment someone made.
An image you compared yourself to.
A standard you felt you could never quite reach.
But what if the things you've spent years wishing you could change were never mistakes to begin with?
