My own journey to the crown was far from a fairytale; it was a deeply personal odyssey, marked more by God's relentless grace and a gritty determination than by any seamless glide to a title.
I share this openly because I want you to know, from the depths of my heart, that I truly see you. I’ve walked through the intense fire of self-doubt, grappling with feeling 'invisible' and disconnected after years of dedicated motherhood and marriage.
I’ve intimately understood the cultural tightrope walk of reconciling my cherished Korean heritage with often narrow Western beauty ideals, and I’ve wrestled with profound questions about my own beauty, my presence, and whether a woman like me even truly belonged on that stage. Through every insecurity and wave of pressure, a quiet, unshakeable peace eventually emerged—the profound understanding that authentic, lasting confidence isn't about flawless performance, but about a resilient spirit anchored firmly in Christ.

From Personal Battles to a God-Given Mission
Like many women I now have the honor of coaching, there was a persistent 'pull' towards competing, often without complete clarity on the 'why,' but always underpinned by a desire for a purpose far deeper than just a crown – I yearned to make a lasting impact, to build a legacy of faith. The path was undeniably an emotional rollercoaster: intense mindset hurdles, moments of sheer panic before an interview or stage walk, the crushing weight of trying to be 'perfect,' and the raw vulnerability of facing judgment. I even battled the subtle, yet powerful, cultural conditioning that often teaches Asian women to shrink their ambitions. Seeing how my own beloved mother had lost herself in sacrifice ignited a holy fire in me – a determination to break those generational patterns, not just for myself, but to become a beacon for others.
Through every challenge – yes, even the swimsuit segment that triggered deep insecurities despite being in great physical shape! – and every wave of overwhelming pressure, there was also an unshakeable, often quiet, sense of peace. It was the knowing that 'God goes before me.'
It was in these crucible moments that I learned my most valuable lessons: that authentic, lasting confidence isn’t about flawless execution, but about a resilient spirit anchored firmly in Christ. My two pageant experiences, which included a win that left me in grateful shock and navigating the bittersweet 'pageant hangover' when my first reign was unexpectedly shortened by Covid, became undeniable proof of God's unwavering faithfulness. He then called me to compete a second time, with an even clearer, bolder mission: to dedicate myself to pouring into and uplifting Asian American women and all the 'underdogs' who dare to dream big, faith-filled dreams.
This journey, with all its raw edges and radiant breakthroughs, taught me a fundamental, life-altering truth: our ultimate worth isn't found in a title, a trophy, or human approval, but is irrevocably sealed in Christ alone.

It is this hard-won wisdom, this deep empathy born from shared struggles, and this unshakeable belief in the transformative power of a faith-centered mindset that led me to create Crowned In Confidence. I knew I couldn't keep these lessons to myself. My heart's deepest desire is to guide Christian women like you to navigate the unique pageant landscape not by conforming to worldly standards, but by courageously embracing your God-given identity.
I believe that true confidence – the kind that shines from within and touches everyone you meet – is cultivated when your worth, values, identity, and character reflect Christ. My approach is nurturing yet bold, empathetic yet always believing in the immense greatness God has placed within you. I’m here to help you:
